Zoom Classes with Joel provides an opportunity to experience a university class quality learning environment into a relaxed collaborative and community based learning context. The mission of these classes is to provide a vary diverse setting with people from all walks of life to grow in our understanding and ability to navigate our nation’s crisis at the intersection of race, faith, and politics.
On Wednesday nights this October, Joel will launch the a 5 week class on Rebirth of a Nation: Reparations and Remaking America. The classes examines the case for reparations from the era of the shackle, to Jim Crow, through the rise of the Reagan revolution that placed Black men in prison and entrapped entire communities in poverty. The class will conclude with an expansive vision of reparations through the work of repentance, repayment, and repair.
